The Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 221 denied the request of Andal Ampatuan Jr. for more time to submit additional evidence to support his bail petition.
The principal accused in the massacre wanted another 30 days to go over the transcript of hearings and gather more evidence.
But Judge Jocelyn Solis-Reyes ruled that Andal Jr. was already given at least two occasions to review the case records from January until June this year.
She added that this is a clear attempt of the accused to further delay the case.
Andal Jr.’s formal offer of evidence is now deemed submitted for resolution and the court will now rule whether or not it will admit the evidence he presented.
