MANILA - Did singer Jovit Baldivino and non-showbiz girlfriend Shara Chavez break up? This was the question posed by Baldivino's followers after he was noticeably absent from the christening of his first child with Chavez last month.
Add that Chavez has been posting cryptic quotes on her Instagram page about cutting ties with someone and the importance of loyalty, giving fans rumor fodder about their relationship.
It was different on Baldivino's side, however, as he recently expressed his gratitude for Chavez for greeting him on his birthday earlier this week on Facebook.
"Thank you my love for the greetings and cake kahit wala ako diyan sa Pilipinas," said Baldivino, who is currently in the U.S. for a series of shows.
In a previous interview, Baldivino said he hopes that Chavez is the woman he would marry. "Mag-iipon muna ako, magpapayaman muna kami. Pero sana siya na kasi napakabait niya," he explained. Moreover, Baldovino shared that his family gets along well with Chavez, who recently became the poster girl for fans who dream of dating their idol. The two welcomed their first daughter, Akeya, last July.
